Friends! I hope you're all doing well!

I am having an INCREDIBLY hard time. Maybe it was the psychology of starting this forum making me think that I was accomplishing something without accomplishing anything-- but I actually GAINED a couple pounds. Ugh. I'm in that place of feeling way heavier than usual with no light-in-sight....which means I just have to suck it up, commit to my diet and start exercising again....if only it wasn't so hard to exercise when I feel fat...know-what-i mean?

I feel like I need a sponsor....or coach or something.


Anyone like the idea of buddying-up? I'd love it if I had a person in my time zone who I could text whenever I wanted to eat an entire pizza or not exercise. I'm really annoying my boyfriend and friends with how often I talk about feeling fat.

This is a great idea! I sent an email to Erin. Someone please be my buddy! I work from home so I have plenty of time to be someone's motivator Smile

Also if us and our buddies could compete with other buddy teams for how many hours we worked out that week or how much weight lost that could also be a great motivator to keep our buddy on track.

There is sublime irony in this request. I've managed nearly 5 weeks feeling I had this diet thing under control - and while I've not fallen completely off the wagon, I have certainly steered it to the edge of an "OUT OF ORDER escalator" in just these last two days. I shall oblige with this request with the hopes that my rear will be punted periodically toward the finish line of uncontrollable sexiness. Thanks in advance, angry diet police!

Hey guys! Update! Email list? Buddy System? Empty Sync up your fitness trackers!

So many different apps and gadgets out there that I scarcely know what is best. The purpose of this blurb would be to con you into joining up on "buddy lists" on these apps, since seeing someone else's progress would certainly motivate me. It would also allow someone to yell at me for the Doritos I ate yesterday.

I use:
*Lose It! - for calorie counting (would consider trying out MyFitnessPal, though I don't think I like it as much)
*Zombies, Run! (would be willing to use RunKeeper again)
*Runtastic SitUps (haven't really used it yet but links to MyFitnessPal, it seems)

I eyeballed some of those wristband pedometer thingys but easily came to the conclusion that free or nearly-free on my iPhone was better than a $100 bracelet that essentially counted the same thing.

Let me know if anyone would like to buddy up!
